How the Small Changes Savings Calculator works
Step 1: Enter the price you currently pay and the cheaper alternative for each purchase. Add how often you make that purchase, such as four times per week.
Step 2: The calculator annualizes those opportunities (52 weeks, 12 months, or 365 days), then compares both amounts. The consistency slider assumes you keep paying your original price whenever you don’t follow through with the cheaper option.
Step 3: Optional upfront expenses are deducted once from your first-year and three-year totals. Savings-goal and break-even times are estimates, not guarantees. No interest, inflation, investment returns, or changes in prices are assumed.
Don’t assume every small habit is automatically worth changing. Sometimes the cheaper choice costs more time, feels inconvenient, or doesn’t suit your routine. The best approach is to keep the swaps you actually like.

For workday routines, 5 times per week is usually clearer than daily.
