How the savings goal planner works
Create a goal with a target amount, the balance you’ve already saved, and an optional weekly contribution. You can track several goals separately. Only amounts you explicitly log as deposits or withdrawals change your recorded balance.
Finish dates are estimates based on your remaining balance and a steady weekly contribution. For example, saving $25 each week toward a remaining $500 means roughly 20 weeks. A target date also lets the planner estimate the weekly amount required to arrive on time. These projections do not include interest, investment returns, fees, or changes in purchasing power.
The what-if slider changes only the forecast, not your saved weekly commitment or your recorded balance. Use it to explore realistic alternatives rather than treating a predicted date as a promise. For more help, read how to set financial goals that stick or our monthly spending audit guide.
